Reliance Jio on Wednesday launched its Most Awaited Wi-Fi Calling Service. With the help of Jio Wi-Fi calling feature, Jio Subscribers will be able to make voice and video calls on the Wi-Fi network. After several months of testing, Jio has decided to launch its Wi-Fi calling service across the country which will be available for voice calls as well as video calls.

However, this service will be launched in all areas by January 16 on a phase basis. Mumbai-based telecom company Jio claims that Jio supports the Wi-Fi Calling Service 150 Handset Smartphones Model. On the other hand, the Airtel Wifi service can be enjoyed only on select handsets of brands like Apple, OnePlus, Samsung and Xiaomi.

Users who have an Active Jio Tariff Plan will be able to make voice calls using Wifi Network with the help of Wi-Fi calling service. For this, the phone does not even have to be connected to the mobile network.

To use the new Jio service, you have to activate Wi-Fi calling or voice-over-Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) in your smartphone. Jio claims that this service is available for more than 150 smartphones. Remember that Airtel started its Wi-Fi calling service in Delhi-NCR last month. She became the first telecom company to extend this service to customers. A few days later, the company informed about making this service available in other metros like Kolkata and Mumbai.
