Asus ROG Phone 3 Full Review: Best Gaming Phone in India?

For gaming enthusiasts, ASUS has launched its cool and latest gaming smartphone ROG Phone 3. Launched a few days ago, this phone has the power to leave behind any flagship phone in terms of performance. Features like the 6000mAh battery and 144Hz refresh rate given in the phone make it a power-packed device. We came to this phone for review and we used it for several days. So let’s know How much is the power in Asus ROG Phone 3

Design & Looks:

The design of ROG Phone 3 will make anyone a fan. The RGB lighting on the back panel of the phone gives the device a very sporty look. Due to the curved edge in the left and right, holding the phone seems quite easy and comfortable. The back panel of ROG Phone 3 is of glass which gives a very premium feel. Horizontal camera bump is given in the top left side in the back panel. It gets triple rear camera setup with LED flash.

The phone has two Air Triggers on the right side. These can also be called ultrasonic buttons. These air triggers are quite useful during gaming. A special kind of back cover is also available with the phone. Some users may find this back cover to be cropped, but the company is providing such a back cover with the phone to meet the special needs. This back cover is designed in such a way that heat can be released from the phone during heavy gaming. The thickness of this phone, which comes with a weight of 240 grams, is 9.85mm.

A Great Display:

The phone has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 2340×1080 pixels resolution. The aspect ratio of the phone is 19.5: 9. The display is quite large and sometimes the video content does not even reach the full screen of the phone. However, we had a lot of fun with this screen during gaming.

The gaming fun in Asus ROG Phone 3 is further enhanced by its 144Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate of the phone can also be manually set to 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz. It also has a refresh rate of 160Hz, but this device does not support it yet.

Performance:

The phone comes with two variants 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage and 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. Snapdragon 865+ processor has been given in the phone for heavy and excellent gaming experience. Adreno 650 has been used in the phone for excellent graphic support. The phone also has Qualcomm’s X55 modem for 5G support.

Camera:

Asus has launched ROG Phone 3 exclusively for gaming. At the same time, perhaps the company had to compromise a bit with the phone’s camera specifications in order to make the phone cost not much. A 64-megapixel primary camera has been given in the rear of the phone. Sony IMX686 sensor has been used in this camera. Apart from this, there is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

The 64-megapixel primary camera given in the phone clicks the by-default 16-megapixel photo. Photos taken with this camera during the daytime are sharp and clear.

My Opinion:

Here is my thoughts for this gaming beast smartphone:-

Good Things – Impressive display with 144Hz refresh rate, 6000mAh battery, Powerful performance, Air Triggers and other gaming-related design elements, Decent cameras, Near stock Android experience with a mix of gaming-related software tweaks

Bad Things- Too big to carry around (non-gaming scenarios), No water-resistant body, No wireless charging
